F-1600 vs F-1300 Mud Pump: Which Triplex Fits Your Operation?

The choice between an F-1300 and an F-1600 mud pump comes down to maximum circulating pressure and continuous duty requirements, not just price.

The F-1300 delivers 1300 HP with up to 40 MPa working pressure, making it ideal for land wells of 4000-6000 meters. The F-1600 steps up to 1600 HP and 45 MPa, covering the deepest land wells and offshore operations where pressure losses are higher.

At nominal drilling depths the performance gap is modest, but at maximum circulating pressure the extra 300 HP of the F-1600 provides meaningful reserve that protects against slow drilling and stuck pipe events.

OUSUN builds both models to API 7K with forged alloy steel fluid ends, fully interchangeable with NOV, BOMCO and Honghua equivalents. As OEM supplier to Honghua and SINOPEC, the factory-direct price is roughly 60% below Western brands.

Operators with mixed well programs often standardize on the F-1600 for fleet flexibility, accepting a slightly higher initial cost in exchange for a single spare-parts inventory.
